Faced with an aging health record system, the DoD decided to implement a commercial solution that would provide a single, longitudinal record. Called MHS GENESIS, the project is one of the largest federal IT integration efforts ever proposed.

With MHS GENESIS, the health records of service members and their families will be seamlessly integrated across military hospitals and clinics, providing instant access to trusted medical systems and standardized healthcare to nearly 10 million beneficiaries.

The project is led by the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH), a team of innovators who have delivered large, complex health solution programs for DoD and Veteran’s Affairs on time and within budget for nearly three decades. The LPDH is complemented by 31 businesses with expertise in commercial hospitals and the Military Health System.
